The Greater Philadelphia Windows Management & Security User Group is pleased to announce our SharePoint 2010 / Office 2010 night. With the release of SharePoint 2010, Microsoft has added a rich array of features to their enterprise collaboration platform. Get a first-hand look at some of the new capabilities along with the new release of Office 2010.
We have several companies that are new to the user group presenting this month including Perficient, AccessHosting.com, and Weidenhammer Systems.
Below are the sessions we have planned. We're asking you to select the sessions you will most likely attend when you register. Feel free to mix and match between tracks. You're not locked in, but it helps us get a quick count for room assignments.

Metadata and Taxonomy Management in SharePoint 2010

In this demonstration, we will work with metadata and taxonomy, both from the end user's perspective and as the site admin who configured the new Term Store. We will show you how to work with the new Term Store, including importing a Term Set, creating a Term Set manually, creating SharePoint columns based on Term Store data, and, finally, consuming Term Store data in documents and lists.
Business Connectivity Services in SharePoint 2010

Self-service BI with PowerPivot and SharePoint 2010

PowerPivot is the latest BI delivery tool from Microsoft that gives business users the analytic power of a cube without needing I.T. to build it. We will explore the self-service analysis capabilities available through PowerPivot for Excel; analyze millions of rows of data within Excel from a standard desktop and describe how SharePoint can be used to distribute your analysis to the enterprise.
Access Services in SharePoint 2010

This session will focus on building codeless web databases in Access 2010 and publishing them out to your SharePoint 2010 server. The 2010 version of Access allows applications to be deployed directly to the browser, eliminating the need for Access on each individual desktop.
